New release for Joomla 1.5.x: Plugin_extranews for Joomla 1.5.x (gudance and installation)!!!.
Installation
- Logged in as administrator in Backend.
- Select menu Installers/mambots, then select your file from your PC by click on Browser button. Finally click mouse on Upload file & Install button. If you see a welcome message, click continue... link to finish.
- Select menu mambots/Site mambots, then select Mos Extra News and publish it.
- You should set this mambot order to be last and change the parameters which is suitable for your website. You can change the term for Related/newer/older words in your language, and also change the tooltip colour
Download mosextranews or mosextranews - Mos extra news with tooltip (@ /extensions.joomla.org)
Updated on Nov. 4, 2007, 9pm: Fixed for the display of "Older news items" word. Thank ttinhha for his notice.
Updated on Nov. 6, 2007, 4am: Fixed for the right display of itemid for related news items.
Re-install: just un-install Extra News Mambot and install it again.
Features - ver 1.0.1:
- Display of Related news items - The title name and number of items.
- Display of Newer news items - The title name and number of items.
- Display of Older news items - The title name and number of items.
- Display of Title and Intro as Tooltip: color, background color, border thickness and color, image and mosimage.
- Demo
mosimage wil be included in ver 1.0.2.
There are two type of displaying of this plugin/mambot.
Type 1
Type 2
The Type 1 is the default. And how to change to Type 2 displaying. In the type 2 displaying, the current item will be a bold text without link. It means there are related items and other items. You set Label of older news items to be - character.
You can user HTML code for text fields such as: Label of older news items, Label of newer news items and Label related items..., and you should you strong/B tag to make this file shows the bold label.

+ Ký tự đặc biệt làm vỡ nội dung (giả định) - chưa thấy có
+ 1 số bài có table là bảng chứa ảnh ở đầu, sẽ làm mất nội dung - xây dựng cơ chế xóa bảng hay TAG.

Xin chào anh! Cho em hỏi là cái mosextranews có thể dùng để điểm tin mới được không ah? Ý em là thế này ạ: ví dụ mình đã dùng com_tintuc để lấy tin từ các báo điện tử khác về, em muốn chỉ lấy 1 vài tin nổi bật để đưa lên trang nhất thôi, vì em thấy cái này không đề cập gì đến menu ( nơi ta đã dùng com_tintuc để lấy tin) vậy thì em phải làm thế nào ạ? Rất mong anh tận tình chỉ giúp, cảm ơn nhiều ạ!

I just install mosextranews - Mos extra news with tooltip to my
website but I am not sure how to show the related article. I try to

A1: For setting Related news Items, you should put the same keyword(s) for articles which you consider to be the related content. And how to set - Loggin in as a editor and edit your article, you will see the meta TAB (see below image) and leave your key word there. Each key words are separated by ',' char. You can use many key words in one article. Finally is to save the article  . Title of Articles have same key word with present article will be shown.

New features in this version:
- mosimage can be displayed.
- Width and Height of tooltip area can be controlled.
- Support tableless or table display.
- Support bilingual display: In my website there are some sect ion writing in English, I also at these sections English title is used. You should provide Itemids in which the second Titles will be used. See the image for more details.
Demo 1: Vietnamese title
Demo 2: English Title
Notice: maybe in this new version you will be confused with control. I am sorry about that. You only change the parameters as before, and no need to provide for others.
Incase you need change the related, newer, and older news item title for specific Itemid(s), you will give values of of Itemid for List of itemid field.

là hiện nay với các mod dạng HTML thì joomla thường hiểu như dạng content
do vậy nếu bạn dùng mod HTML thì cái relate của pác Việt cũng chèn hết cả bài mới bài liên quan vào cái mod đó luôn.

This is VERY close to what we're looking for... Is there a way to restrict the search to just a specific Section/Category? And can you use more than one?
We're trying to show something like:
Related "How to" articles
*************************
Related "Documents"
*************************
Related "Before and After" articles
etc. We were thinking of trying to use multiple "related items" modules, before we saw this, nice work!

Chính xác, tớ đang dùng và bị lỗi này . Các tin liên quan, bài mới hơn, bài cũ hơn đáng lẽ chỉ hiển thị phía dưới bài viết thì nó lại hiển thị cả sang module vị trí bên phải hoặc bên trái ( ở đó tớ có các module dạng HTML) . Ko biết khắc phục cái này như thế nào ??

Thank for using this mambot!
With the latest version you can change the text by looking at folder mosextranews/lang/ and the file english.php
Unzip the mambot, change language file content, then Zipped again.
Uninstall mambot and Install it again.
Note: in the older version, you can change these words at the mambot configuration.

I thought indeed it was in the english.php file but thing is, I don't know mụch about php language and can't find where the field is be edited inside.
I mean, when I look for the exact words, it's not in here...
